Happy Saturnalia this Season

The war on Christmas by the Radical Right Khristians and their media whores has been declared by the most ignorant of all the Khristian Cheerleaders. They teach, pontificate, use bully pulpits, and yellow journalism to perpetuate a lie. The lie that perpetuates their own ignorance.

I never mind calling a spade a spade or a whore a whore. Bill O'Reilly is one such media whore that is blessed with such ignorance. Pat Robertson and James Dobson are criminal hypocrites, taking money to teach the truth, yet choose to present their ignorance from bully pulpits.

Some of the research presented in the other nine segments is research by Christian scholars. One was prepared by the Catholic church!

Christmas is a season and holiday that is the result of at least 4000 years of winter season festivals throughout the ages, throughout the world, throughout the ancient religions.

Christmas as we know it today has evolved from many sources. Evolution has produced the myths, the traditions and the honors we bestow upon this mythical holiday. The ancients recognized this season as special and filled it with fun, hilarity, gift giving, decorating, cheer, and good will.

Of course the ignorant pontificators of the War on Christmas won't believe this because they don't even believe in EVOLUTION. And evolution is probably the best word to define what the Christmas season is.

The fact that Christians have borrowed and used this holiday and its season is not necessarily bad. In fact the Assyrians borrowed it from the Egyptian, Babylonians borrowed it from the Assyrians, the Hebrews adopted parts of the Babylonian and Persian renditions, the Greeks borrowed it from the Persians, the Romans borrowed it from the Greeks... and the beat goes on.

Each culture and religion has added its own little tradition to the season over the centuries and it has evolved into the holiday we know today.

It is not and can never be a 'Christian' only holiday. The Jewish religion was using its own parts of the holiday long before any Jesus myth appeared. The founder of the Christian religion, the Catholic church, state in their own writings that it is NOT the birthday of Jesus.

Happy Holidays is one term that best fits this season. The season incorporates many, many holy days for many, many religions since the dawn of mankind.

So to all the people that pontificate their ignorant lies from the pulpits or the airwaves, Happy Holidays and BAH HUMBUG! Tell the truth for a change.
